Initial test of competence - January

The Initial Test of Competence (ITC) is the standard setting exam which is written after the completion of an accredited CTA programme and is an assessment of core technical competence. To be eligible to write this exam a candidate must hold a CTA that has been accredited by SAICA.

Candidates who require special concessions in an examination must carefully read the policy below and apply to SAICA by the relevant cut-off date.


Copies of exam scripts

Candidates who were unsuccessful in the ITC June 2017 examination may request a copy of their exam scripts in terms of S51 PAI Act (Access to Information). Candidates have up to 18 January 2018 to request a copy. The exam scripts are destroyed after five (5) months from this time in line with our policy.
