East London, 16 March 2017: Only 59.3% of Eastern Cape matriculants passed the 2016 final examinations. This makes it the provinces with the lowest pass rate in the country. So what separates the learners who have bucked the trend from those who failed? One thing is motivation and support. Which is precisely why Mkhuseli Cinani, a second year BCom student at the University of Fort Hare, has taken time out from his studies to encourage learners in the province to aim higher.

Johannesburg, Monday 13 March 2017 – Association of Accounting Technician South Africa AAT(SA) in partnership with BANKSETA will be launching a Capacity-building project with 5 Universities of Technology (UoTs) in the Free State, Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal in April 2017. Registrations for individuals to apply to be part of this programme are now open.

Johannesburg, Monday 6 March 2017 – Entries for the SAICA 2017 Accounting Olympiad are open. High schools have until 28 April 2017 to register their top grade 11 and 12 accounting learners for this year’s prestigious competition.
