Examinations

SAICA sets the following examinations:
- Part I of the Qualifying Examination (QE I)
This is the standard setting exam which is written after the completion of the CTA and is an assessment of core competence. To be eligible to write this exam a candidate must hold a CTA that has been accredited by SAICA.
- AGA Exam the last time this exam will be written is March 2009.
- Part II of the Qualifying Examination – Financial Management (QE II FM)
This is the final written assessment of professional competence (Financial Management). You need to have completed all the following before you are eligible to write this exam:
- Passed Part I; and
- Successfully completed a relevant specialist programme; and
- Completed no less than 18 months of your training contract.
- The Public Practice Examination (PPE) – which is set by the IRBA.
SAICA administers this examination on behalf of the IRBA.
This is the final written assessment of professional competence (Auditing). You need to have completed all the following before you are eligible to write this exam:
- Passed Part I; and
- Successfully completed a relevant Specialist Programme; and
- Completed no less than 18 months of your Training Contract.
