Candidates who wrote the UNISA CTA special exam opportunity June 2009

Please be advised that in terms of the agreement reached with UNISA to allow such a late supplementary examination the following was agreed:

• Candidates passing the June 2009 UNISA CTA special supplementary exam would be awarded a 2008 CTA. (AS PER UNISA)
• QE I attempts are therefore reduced by one attempt as SAICA applies the year the CTA was obtained in its business rules
• Such candidates are therefore only eligible to register for QE I 2010 to 2013
• This can be explained in more detail as follows:
  • CTA year awarded 2008
  • QE I first attempt = Jan 2009 (NOT APPLICABLE as exam sitting was missed)
  • QE I second attempt = Jan 2010
  • QE I third attempt = Jan 2011
  • QE I fourth attempt = Jan 2012
  • QE I fifth attempt = Jan 2013
  • QE I (now called ITC) sixth and final attempt = June 2013 (note if you opt not to write in January 2013 it will count towards the overall sixth attempts)
