ACCA and CPA

SAICA does not have a reciprocity agreement with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) nor the Certified Public Accountants (CPA).

In order for an ACCA/CPA member to be eligible to apply for CA(SA) membership the following requirements needs to be complied with:

  1. Obtain a CTA or equivalent. Read more about the accredited programmes on www.saica.co.za

  2. Enter into a training contract with an accredited training office.

  3. Write/pass Part I (QE1) and Part II qualifying examinations.

    Once you have your CTA you will be eligible to write Part I.
  4. Part II is written after you have:
    1. passed Part I; and
    2. completed a minimum of 18 months of a registered training contract; and
    3. successfully completed a specialism course. Read more about the accredited, specialist diploma, programme on page 10.
