SAICA has through its Thuthuka Education Upliftment Fund initiative enjoyed significant success in facilitating the improvement of grade 12 learners’ (who are part of Thuthuka) marks in mathematics, English science, accounting and life orientation.

To implement Thuthuka, SAICA formed an alliance with an education entity called PMG, who have been involved since the inception of Thuthuka in 2001, to successfully provide educational support to learners who have chosen to follow chartered accountancy as a first career of choice and in essence become new entrants into the prospective CA(SA) pipeline via Thuthuka.

This first CAs(SA) from the Thuthuka process will qualify in 2010.

Why are we talking about education material to you our valued members?

Many of our members have children in grade 10 to 12 who need help with improving their mathematics, English, accounting, science or life skills or have an involvement with schools where the challenge to improve the grade 12 pass rate is significant.

SAICA therefore expanded its alliance with PMG to offer their educational material to members associated with grade 12 learners as well as teachers at very competitive prices.
