Welcome

The Small and Medium Practices department was established in 1996 within the Secretariat for the main purpose of catering for the needs of principal members and their employees in small and medium practices. The number of principal members in small and medium practices to date is 3 595 members.

The department and the Small and Medium Practices Committee aspire to identify how SAICA can assist practitioners and their practices by providing relevant information and products for the practitioners. Furthermore, the department seeks to ensure that members and associates in small and medium practices are adequately represented on decision-making structures where necessary.

The Small and Medium Practices Committee of SAICA, which consists of 12 national representatives, works closely with the Small and Medium Practices Department for the benefit of members. These committee representatives are your representatives and therefore you are urged to please contact them if there are any issues you would like them to take up on your behalf. To identify the areas that are represented please see SMP structure diagram.

This site is intended to help achieve the above goals and we take pleasure in welcoming you to it.

Your views and suggestions are important to us. If the Small and Medium Practices Department is to properly assist members we require your input, so please email any comments to:
